Q: How long does it take to build a home?

A: Usually, it takes around six to eight months to build a home.

Q: What materials are used?

A: We use a wide range of materials, including brick, vinyl-clad windows, asphalt, wood, and concrete foundation.

Q: What systems are installed for heating and cooling?

A: We offer a furnace; automated thermostat with heat, fan, and cooling capabilities; and a heat recovery ventilation system.

Q: Does my home come with a warranty?

A: Yes, we offer a Tarion Homeowner Warranty to our clients.

Q: I live out of town. Can I still build?

A: Yes.

Q: What customizations can I make?

A: Structural or interior customizations depend on the project and site. Customizations are also subject to architectural control.

Q: What is generally included in the purchase price?

A: Your total cost includes levies and taxes.

Q: What is generally NOT included in the purchase price?

A: Closing adjustment costs and municipal fees are generally not a part of the purchase price.

Q: What do I need for the first meeting?

A: You will need the following for the first meeting: • Identification • Cheques • Pre-qualification

Q: What are your payment terms?

A: Our payment terms depend on the project and site.

Q: How is clean-up and removal of construction debris handled?

A: Bremont Construction Crew takes care of all debris and materials on-site.

Q: How do I set up an appointment?

A: For setting up an appointment you can do one of the following: • Register yourself online • Call the sales office for the project you are interested in • Send us an e-mail in our general mailbox

Q: Do you offer discounts for paying in cash?

A: No, we do not accept cash payments.

Q: Do you carry insurance?

A: The sites are insured until occupancy. Once the home becomes occupied, purchasers need their own insurance.

Q: Are you licensed?

A: Yes, we are fully licensed.

Q: Can we purchase through our own agent?

A: Yes, though note that the commission depends on the site.

Q: Can we assign the property before closing?

A: No

Q: Do I lose my deposit if I change my mind once the deal has firmed up?

A: Yes, deposits are non-refundable after the deal has firmed up.

Q: Do I need proper financing before buying?

A: It is recommended that you get financing advice before purchasing. Bremont Homes will also have a bank representative whom you can speak with on-site.

Q: Can I add a purchaser to the offer after making a purchase myself?

A: Yes, you can.

Q: Can I receive general pricing for upgrades at the time of the offer and/or can I visit the décor centre to see what upgrades are available?

A: Yes, we will provide you with pricing information about upgrades.
